One of the five stickers included in the ‘A Factory Sample’  a double 7″ single compilation showcasing acts on the new Factory Records Label, Manchester.

FAC-2 A Factory Sample was a 7″ double single in a gatefold sleeve encased in plastic (see above) released in January 1979 and limited to 5000 copies. It also contained a sheet of  5 black & white stickers. It featured tracks by Joy Division, The Durutti Column, John Dowie and Cabaret Voltaire.

Featuring screenings of music films during the festival including New Order, ‘Pumped Full Of Drugs’. A live recording of their performance in Tokyo May 2nd 1985.

The video from the live performance in Tokyo was released as ‘Pumped Full Of Drugs’ (VHS) Factory, Fac 177 / Ikon, Ikon 17, UK 1986.

Here’s a Flyer for The Hacienda, Blackburn club night collaboration. The club nights started in response to the Blackburn raves which took place through 1988-1990. The first raves in 1988 were small but by their height in 1989 they were attracting up to 10,000 people.

Something to listen too; Together ‘Hardcore Uproar’ 12″ single Released 1990 on FFRR Records. It became a Blackburn anthem, the crowd noises on the record are from one of the Blackburn raves.

This was a series of Monday night events in March 1990 at The Hacienda. Featuring bands such as The Beloved, The High, The Farm and The Bridewell Taxis. Advance Tickets were available for £3.50  from Piccadilly Records, Eastern Bloc & The Hacienda. What else would you do on a Monday night.

Here’s something to listen to; The High, ‘Box Set Go’ single released on 7″, 12″ and CD format by London Records in 1990. From the album ‘Somewhere Soon’ from the same year.
